I am a cybersecurity enthusiast and professional with many years of experience in the field.

In a previous career, I was a professional philosopher specializing in Philosophy of Religion. My intellectual interests are vast and quite eclectic. Though I very much consider myself a generalist, I am particularly interested in the study of Cybersecurity, Data Security, Privacy, Philosophy of Religion, Religion (particularly Christianity and Islam), Counterterrorism and the Middle East. My blogposts here are reflective of these interests.

Of Aramean background, I am fluent in English and Modern Standard Arabic. I am also intermediate in Spanish - yes, I can say considerably more than “yo hablo EspaƱol un poco!”

More personally, I am an avid runner. I currently run a half marathon every weekend, and one day hope to complete an ultramarathon.

I do not smoke, do drugs, drink coffee, soda, or alcohol, eat candy or play video games. I do not have any tattoos or piercings, and I strive to live naturally and simply.

I am politically independent. I consider myself a secular theist, a social conservative and fiscal agnostic. Although a secular person, my sociopolitical views align quite closely with the teachings of the Catholic Church. I am deeply patriotic and love the spirit of the principles upon which the United States was founded. I am not dogmatic and am a lifelong learner. A relatively detailed list of my views is found here. Some music I enjoy listening to is found here.

My ultimate life goal is to do what little I can to make the world a better place.
